新たな観点で臨む「吉田蔵ｕ レイヤード 百万石乃白」
熱弁を振るうときにやたらとカタカナを連発する輩がいます。私も若い頃はあんなんだったかなと自己反省している、おいしい酒倶楽部の今井です。あ～、チョメチョメ。

吉田蔵ｕは「食・人・自然に寄り添う ナチュラルで優しいお酒」をコンセプトに立ち上げられました。が、世間のイメージとなる貴醸酒と、吉田蔵ｕが目指す貴醸酒のイメージが異なるということから、今回、命名することになった「レイヤード」がそれに変わるものとして酒質を語る名称となりました。

レイヤーとは階層のことで、重ねることを指すレイヤードで、今回の名称となっています。が、ほら、カタカナでしょ。分かりづらいんだってば。

それはさておき、新シリーズとして登場した以上、単なる名称変更ではなく、味わいとしても違いを感じさせてくれるのではないかと思って、早速、いただきました。

これまでの「モダン山廃」という飲み心地を、一段と爽やかにした仕立てで、酸の働きによる切れの良さを楽しめます。伸び代が感じられるも、現時点で「新境地」となるものを得たのではないだろうかと思えるものがあります。

要は、飲みやすさと爽やかさを合わせ飲むような印象。課題はこの先の変化なのかなとも思えるのですが、大いに期待できる味わいとなって登場です。あなたもぜひこの機会にお試しください。［2025.12.23］

Some people use a lot of katakana when they’re giving passionate speeches. I’m Imai from the Oishii Sake Club, and I’m reflecting on whether I was like that when I was younger.
Yoshida Kura U was founded with the concept of “natural, gentle sake that connects food, people, and nature.” However, the public’s image of kijoshu differs from the image Yoshida Kura U aims for, so the new name, “Layered,” serves as a replacement and describes the quality of the sake.
Layer means “layer,” and layering refers to stacking, hence the name. But, you see, it’s in katakana. It’s hard to understand.
Anyway, since this is a new series, I thought it might not just be a simple name change, but that it would also have a different taste, so I tried it right away.
This sake has an even more refreshing taste than the previous “Modern Yamahai,” and you can enjoy the crispness provided by the acidity. While there is still room for improvement, there are some things that make me think that this beer has reached new heights.
In short, it gives the impression of being both easy to drink and refreshing. While the challenge lies in future improvements, this beer has arrived with a flavor that is highly promising. Please take this opportunity to try it. [2025.12.23]
